RISE is about helping men to reflect upon their many God-given relational identities (i.e. as a son, a brother, a husband, a father) and encouraging men to live out these identities more intentionally.
The challenge starts on March 6 (Ash Wednesday). Each day participants are given an email link to a 5-minute video reflection along with the daily challenge.
Building a Brotherhood
Those who go through RISE are strongly encouraged to go through it with a brother (i.e. an man) so that they can encourage one another and brief chat about the daily message together.
Furthermore, there will be 4 optional men gatherings in Shanely Hall at St. Joseph on the follow Saturday mornings:
Saturday, March 9 @ 8am
Saturday, March 23 @ 8am
Saturday, March 30 @ 8am
Saturday, April 6 @ 8am
These gatherings will be 20-30 minutes with a focus on building brotherhood and reflecting one of the relational identities highlighted in the RISE video reflections. Coffee and donuts or muffins will be provided.
Men, Let’s RISE
Whether you are single, married, have kids a home or are an empty-nester, RISE is designed for all men. Fathers, this program is a challenge that your high school sons can join the men of the parish in accomplishing.
The cost of the program is $32 dollars (about $1 a day). Once you have went through the 30 day challenge you can go through it as many times as you like for free. This will allow you to walk with other men who are going through it for the first time.
I am signed-up and am willing to walk with the men of the parishes to build up a Catholic Brotherhood. Rise-Up, O Men of God!
